French Montana has clarified recent comments published by Billboard that suggested he is only dating Khloe Kardashian for her fame. "I was so mad about that," Montana said in an interview with Access Hollywood on Tuesday. "If I'm with somebody, I'm not with them for that reason." The rapper went on to say that he has a love-hate relationship with appearing on his girlfriend’s reality show, but that he’ll do whatever he needs to for his gal. “When it comes to her career, I don't think about it,” he explained. “If she needs me to do something, I do it.”
Tom Hanks is #1 again, but not for one of his movies. The typewriter app he helped develop for the iPad has shot to #1 on the iTunes store. Hanx Writer is an app that plays the sound of a vintage typewriter as you poke away at the letters on an electronic keyboard. The actor said he was inspired to create the app because "the feel and sound of the typewriter was satisfying in ways that couldn't be matched."
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett released their newest duet yesterday, "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," a standard written in 1928. But back then, there were far fewer "Gagas" in the lyrics. "Gee, I'd like to say you're looking swell, Tony," Gaga sings on the track. "Diamond bracelets won't work, doesn't sell, Gaga," Bennett replies. The jazzy track will appear on the duet album Cheek to Cheek, which is due out on September 23. The collaborative LP been in the works since the two sang together on "The Lady Is a Tramp," from Bennett's 2011 Duets II album.
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl raised the bar for celebrity Ice Bucket Challenges on Tuesday, by releasing a video that shows him getting doused in frigid water while spoofing the classic horror flick Carrie. The 3-minute-long video shows Grohl and fellow Foo Fighter Taylor Hawkins re-enacting the famous scene in which Carrie gets blood dumped on her at prom. In Grohl's version, it's ice water, and after the deed is done he challenges Stephen King, John Travolta and Jack Black to take the challenge. King wrote the screenplay for Carrie and Travolta acted in the film. Meanwhile, Black had nothing to do with the film; he just seems like a great target.
