No charges against Milwaukee ex-police officer in fatal shooting


MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (Reuters) - A Milwaukee police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man will not be charged in the incident, the local district attorney said on Monday, adding the use of force was justified. Milwaukee police officer Christopher Manney, who has since been fired, was acting in self defense when he shot Dontre Hamilton 14 times during a struggle in Red Arrow Park in downtown Milwaukee on April 30, Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm said in a statement.
