Victoria's Secret Angel Quit Modeling Due to Religious Faith

Former Victoria's Secret model Kylie Bisutti says that her career didn't sync with her Christian faith. In a recent interview, she said (quote) "My faith is more important and I want to honor God. I don't feel like I am honoring him when I am half-naked. I thought all that attention, parties, runways would make me happy. But when it comes right down to it, the scene was all empty and selfish."

Bisutti walked the runway for Victoria's Secret "Fashion Show" and earned her Angel wings. In between gigs, she posed for men's magazines such as FHM and Maxim. That's all changed now. Kylie says (quote) "I'm married, I refuse to model lingerie, but will continue to model women's clothing. I'm much happier fully clothed."

Keira Knightley Describes Shopping for a 'Body Double' Butt

Keira Knightley has one strict rule for any film she makes. She tells the director "You can have the top half but you can't have the bottom half." Meaning, the award-winning actress will go topless for a film, but she requires a body-double for anything below the belt.

While on the set of one of her recent movies, the scene called for Keira to take off her clothes and do a striptease in a thong. She refused -- as it's stated in her contract -- so the director brought in a group of "body actresses". As Keira explained "These three women came in and just dropped their trousers and he was like 'Well, which one do you want?' I was just looking for one that's around the same shape as mine, just a bit better. The girl we picked had a lovely bottom-- but you don't get a feel."

Survey: America Either Hates -- or is Jealous of -- California

When Americans were asked to name their favorite state, the overwhelming favorite was Hawaii. It's by far the most popular. And the state that ranks last among all Americans? California. The pollsters say California ranks very low among conservative voters due to the state's stance on gay marriage and medical marijuana.

Among the least-liked states with California are Snooki's home state of New Jersey, President Barack Obama's Illinois, plus Mississippi and Utah. As for the popular ones, people seem to favor Tennessee, South Dakota, North Carolina, and Colorado.

Surgical Facelift Can Erase Up To 6-Years From Appearance

Visiting a plastic surgeon can shave years off your face. Plastic surgery would not be a $15 billion dollar industry if patients weren't pleased with the results. A new study --- conducted with the help of plastic surgeons -- places a value of exactly how many years are erased from your face. For instance, a facelift is worth 6 years. Plus, getting your eyelids done could makes you look 8 years younger

Fashionably Frugal: Procrastination on IRS Taxes is Normal

We're a little more than 7 weeks away from Tax Day. This year, April 15th falls on a Sunday, giving you an additional day before they're due. And let's face it, most Americans wait as long as possible to do their taxes. Then they take the option of paying them with a credit card. Not a great idea. The government charges a "convenience fee", and then your credit card company will sock you with interest payments and penalties

Wiki Fact

The average woman owns 9 bras, but 4 of them sit in her dresser drawer gathering dust.

In addition, about 50% of women own a bra that they've never worn.

Fat Tuesday

Most Popular Names for Dogs & Cats-- Blame the 'Twi-Hards'

Veterinarian Marty Becker has tabulated the nation's favorite family pet names. And we mean for cats and dogs, not pet names whispered to lovers.

Apparently, the "Twilight" movies have impacted how family pets are named. The most popular female cat and dog name is "Bella". Though, Sophie and Chloe are also popular. For the male pets, Max and Charlie make the list for both dogs and cats.

Tipsy Tuesday: Mardi Gras Beads Cause Sickening Hangover

Mardi Gras news: Following Fat Tuesday, the streets of New Orleans are littered with as much as 25 million pounds of plastic Mardi Gras beads.

Those beads, even though they're plastic, cannot be recycled in the traditional process. So a handful of non-profit groups are collecting them and trying to re-sell them to revelers.

One idea to encourage recycling of the beads seems to be a winner: Partiers could exchange their beads for one of the most coveted items during Mardi Gras: A clean bathroom.

Fashionably Frugal: Claiming Wardrobe from Mom's Closet

Your next wardrobe item could come from your parents. Your parents' closet. So many fashion styles come-and-go that you just might find an article of clothing that's pretty old but suddenly stylish again. Take a peek into your parents' closet to search for a valuable addition to your own wardrobe.

How Do You Go 25 Yrs On-the-Job & Never Take a Sick Day?

(MANHATTAN, NEW YORK) Some people never seem to get sick. They have perfect attendance at school, and once they join the work force they never miss a day. The Wall Street Journal caught up with many of these rare breeds. It's not that they don't ever get ill, but rather they really love their job.

Or in the case of Ed Batka, his 25-years of perfect attendance has its own reward. His employer provides incentives to never miss a day of work and be productive. In the case of Ed, the incentive is effective. Last year, he traveled to Hawaii with his wife for free. There, they renewed their wedding vows. And it didn't cost Ed a dime.

What Do Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models Eat For Dessert?

Among the Sports Illustrated swimsuit models, a few of them are real swimmers. Take Michelle Vawer, who grew up in Hawaii and was recruited to swim for Yale University. Instead, she went the modeling route. But that didn't stop her from swimming 9-miles non-stop (in 2005) between the Hawaiian islands of Lanai and Maui (in shark-infested waters).

The "Grub Street" blog asked the swimsuit models this week about their favorite dessert:

Michelle Vawer: "If you have hot, gooey chocolate, I can't help but shove it in my face."

Irina Shayk: "I love sweets. Chocolates, cookies, cakes. Whatever I see I try it."

Bar Refaeli: "I can never say no to white chocolate."

Alyssa Miller: "You give me anything sweet and I'll eat it, in immensely large portions."

Any year that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model has been an American, the stock market has climbed for the year. Guys can expect their portfolio to grow.

Valentine's Day Responsible for 10% of Annual Proposals

Valentine's Day is one of the biggest money makers for Hallmark Cards. Over 70 million greeting cards will be sold this month.

  • 65% of all Valentine's Day gifts are simply a greeting card
  • Valentine's Day is a $4 billion holiday: The total amount spent on flowers, jewelry, candy, cards, dinner and a movie date
  • It's estimated 15% of working women will send themselves a bouquet flowers at the office
  • Nearly three-quarters of singles would not object to having a "blind date" on Valentine's Day
  • Divorce lawyers claim to see 40% higher demand for their services shortly after Valentine's Day (It's almost impossible for a man to celebrate the day with both his wife and the "other woman" -- without angering one or both of them)
  • Valentine's Day wedding proposals account for 10% of the annual total
  • Women Do NOT Fear Valentine's Day Alone Like the Guys Do

Valentine's Day. Either you've got a loved one or you don't. And, believe it or not, it's the guys who feel worse about being alone on Valentine's. A new survey of young adults reveals that single ladies are (quote) "too busy enjoying their freedom to care about the absence of a companion on February 14th".

On the other hand, nearly three-out-of-4 men feel unlovable if they're without a date tonight. New data from Google search terms indicates that men are far more desperate to find love. Searching for "places to meet women" is 55% more popular than "places to meet men". And nationwide, the fastest growing search term is "single Valentine's Day".

TGIF!!!!! 2-10-12

'Target' Stores Become Target Over 'Stalker' Valentine's Card

Plenty of women don't see anything funny about a Valentine's Day card that mentions stalking. Target is selling the card which on the front cover says "Stalker is a Harsh Word", followed by "I Prefer Valentine" on the inside.

Target is feeling public pressure to take the offensive card off the shelves. One of the most vocal activists is Ginger Lee, a former-porn queen and stalking victim. She says (quote) "I can't believe a multi-national company that says they're involved in the community is making light of a terrible thing like stalking. When I first saw it, I thought, 'This is fake. It has to be fake. Nobody would actually make this.'"

About 150 million Valentine's Day cards will be purchased, the majority by women.

Fashionably Frugal: Expect to Pay at the Pump 60-Cents More

Enjoy "cheap" gasoline while you can get it. Even though we're already paying a high price at the pump right now, it's expected to get even more expensive before the summer rolls around. Another 60-cents more by June. Meaning gas prices will peak above 4-bucks. One energy expert says (quote) "We'll get over $4 dollars a gallon, but it's going to be tough to sustain that level. People will drive less."

Wiki Fact

About one-in-5 young Americans (between the age of 18 and 34) have returned home to live with mom & dad. Breaking down the numbers even further, the ones between 25 and 39 years old are moving back at the rate of 34% to their childhood bedrooms.

Woman's Over-Inflated 38-KKK Implants Perform Like Airbags

Sheyla Hershey claims she would not be alive today if it wasn't for her size 38-triple-K Implants. During a weekend car crash, those implants acted like airbags to soften the blow. She may stand only 5-foot-3, but she casts a huge shadow.

Sheyla was driving home from a Super Bowl party in her Ford Mustang when she steered straight into a tree (She was cited for drunk driving). Despite her car being totaled, Sheyla walked away from the crash scene completely unscathed. Except for her slightly bruised ego.

Super Bowl Commercials
There were lots of great Super Bowl commercials again this year. Ranking among the most popular were The Ferris Bueller Honda Commercial, Volkswagon's Dog Strikes Back, Clint Eastwood's Motivation, Bud Light's Rescue Dog and my personal favorite The Seinfeld Acura Commercial

Fashionably Frugal: Giants' Safety Worth $50,000 on Wager

In general, gambling on sports is a loser's bet. However, one very lucky man earned nearly 6-figures while wagering on last night's Super Bowl. His biggest payout was on a $1000 bet that the New York Giants first points would come on a safety -- which occurred in the opening seconds of the game. At 50-to-1 odds, that single wager was worth $50,000. The same man, identified as "Jona Rechnitz" on Twitter, had several other bets, including that the Giants would vanquish the New England Patriots.

Radcliffe Admits Being Drunk Filming 'Harry Potter' Scenes

Over the weekend, Daniel Radcliffe's latest movie "The Woman in Black" nearly won the box office derby. It took in $21 million, as compared to $22 million for "Chronicle". Both out-performed predictions for a typically sluggish Super Bowl weekend at movie theaters.

In a recent interview, Daniel Radcliffe has come clean about his alcoholism. While filming the "Harry Potter" franchise, he picked up a nasty drinking habit, but has since gotten sober (quote) "It was a problem. People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I don't want to go into details, but I drank a lot and it was daily -- I mean nightly. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work."

Groundhog Day

Wiki Fact

It's estimated, each year, that all the Groundhogs tunneling under Pennsylvania move over 2 million tons of dirt.

Facebook Stock May Make Zuckerberg 9th Richest American

Mark Zuckerberg is about to become filthy rich. According to the Wall Street Journal, Facebook hopes to raise more than $5 billion dollars with its IPO (Initial Public Offering). When the stock price reaches $100 (which Facebook hopes is soon), then Zuckerberg will be worth $28 billion. Making him, at the tender age of 27, the 9th wealthiest person in the United States. In fact, he's become so rich that he's already forfeited his annual salary. Mark told investors to give him a Facebook paycheck of just one buck.

Americans Staying Single

(WASHINGTON, DC) A record number of Americans are living alone. More than half the county is not married. Over a quarter of all Americans live in a home by themselves. This is twice the number of single-person households than just a couple generations ago.

Cities such as Atlanta, St. Louis, Denver, Washington DC, Seattle and New York city have 40% of their homes with only a single occupant.

PHEROMONE DATING PARTIES

Is your love life in the pits? Well, you may want to try pheromone dating. Yup, it's what you think it is ... dating someone based solely on how they smell. Intrigued? Gross out? Either way, here are the rules when attending a pheromone dating party:

  • Send a picture of your armpit with your party RSVP
  • Wear the same shirt to bed for three nights without perfume or deodorant
  • Bring the shirt to the party and place it in a numbered bag indicating sex by the color pink or blue
  • Begin sniffing the other bags until you find one that appeals to you
  • Find your scent match ... and the rest is up to you.
