Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit in New York State Supreme Court against the creators of Grand Theft Auto V for using her likeness without her permission. The New York Times reports that Lohan is suing Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games over the character of Lacey Jonas, a Lohan-esque starlet whom players rescue from pursuing paparazzi. The game also features the hotel Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood, where Lohan lived during the summer of 2012 and allegedly ran up an unpaid $46,000 bill. Claiming that the game violated her right to privacy, Lohan is seeking damages to be determined by the court.
The Notebook may be one of the most romantic movies ever made, but it appears Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams had their fair share of problems on the set. In a new interview celebrating the movie’s 10th anniversary, director Nick Cassavettes told VH1 that Gosling once tried to have McAdams removed from the set. “Ryan came to me...and he says, 'Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off-camera with me?’” Cassavettes goes on to say that the pair worked out most of their differences in an off-camera screaming match, and the rest of the filming was “smoother sailing.” We'd say the lover’s quarrel paid off; the pair became an item in real life as well.
Robin Thicke has been spending a lot of his time trying to win back his estranged wife Paula Patton. But during an appearance on Good Morning America yesterday, Thicke admitted that he actually has no idea what he’s doing. "I'm just kind of flying by the seat of my pants on this one,” Thicks said. “I just wanted to make something artistic out of a very difficult period. When you lose the love of your life, you don't have much to hide anymore." He went on to say that Patton is the best person he’s ever met, and that the least he could do was devote an album to her.
Jewel and rodeo star Ty Murray are calling it quits after six years of marriage and 16 years of being together. Jewel broke the news on her blog yesterday. "My husband, friend and partner of 16 years and I have decided to get a divorce," she wrote. "For some time, we have been engaged in a private and difficult, but thoughtful and tender undoing of ourselves. Allowing ourselves the time and space to redefine what we are to each other with love rather than malice." The couple eloped to the Bahamas in 2008 and welcomed a son, Kase, in 2011.
A week after FOX confirmed that all three judges will return for Season 14 of American Idol, Keith Urban is revealing that fellow judge Harry Connick Jr. “feels like a brother” to him—-even if their close relationships isn’t as obvious as Blake Shelton and Adam Levine’s on The Voice. "We're very different as people, but I love his heart and I love his musicality. I love his sense of humor,” Urban said. The “Cop Car” singer also defended the show’s third judge, Jennifer Lopez, against rumors that she is a diva. "I think the word 'diva' gets misused a lot of times by people,” Urban explained.
