Justin Bieber is in trouble. Again. The 20-year-old pop star is now being accused of attempted robbery in the L.A. area. TMZ claims the scuffle went down at a miniature golf and batting cage park on Monday, where a woman with her 13-year-old daughter spotted Bieber and took photos of him on her phone. She says that Bieber demanded she hand over the phone so he could delete the images, and then proceeded to snatch it out of her purse when she refused. A spokesperson from the LAPD did confirm that the alleged victim was interviewed. However, as of late Tuesday, Bieber had not been questioned or arrested.
Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston made headlines last month when he helped California teen Stefan Montana invite his crush Maddie Abene to their junior prom at Los Gatos High School. But now it's emerged that Cranston has since gone above and beyond by flying Stefan and Maddie out to New York City. The actor paid for their flight, hotel accommodations and even had a car pick them up from the airport. He also gave them a pair of tickets to his Broadway play All the Way. As if we didn't think that Bryan Cranston was awesome enough already.
American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken won the Democratic nomination for a U.S. congressional seat in North Carolina on Tuesday, Reuters reports. According to official results, 35-year-old Aiken earned the party’s nod in the second congressional district by 390 votes over opponent 71-year-old Keith Crisco, who died on Monday after falling at his home in Asheboro. The official tally of votes reported by the nine counties in the district showed Aiken with 40.86 percent and Crisco with 39.49 percent -- enough to avoid both a recount and runoff had Crisco lived.
Alec Baldwin got into an altercation with the NYPD yesterday that ended with the actor being handcuffed, detained and issued two summonses for disorderly conduct and a biking-related offense. According to the NYPD, Baldwin was stopped in downtown Manhattan for riding his bike the wrong way down a one-way street. After Baldwin quickly grew belligerent, he was issued the two citations. But when he was then unable to produce ID, he was cuffed, put in the back of a squad car and taken to a local precinct. Witnesses tell TMZ that Baldwin was biking alone and seemed to be just trying to get some exercise. After being released from police custody, Baldwin tweeted that New York is "a mismanaged carnival of stupidity."
