After more than three decades in late-night television, David Letterman has announced he will retire in 2015. The host discussed his decision to retire during Thursday's taping of The Late Show.“"The man who owns this network, Leslie Moonves, he and I have had a relationship for years and years and years, and we have had this conversation in the past, and we agreed that we would work together on this circumstance and the timing of this circumstance," Letterman told the studio audience. “And I phoned him just before the program, and I said, 'Leslie, it's been great. You've been great. And the network has been great, but I'm retiring."

James Franco tried to pick up a 17-year-old on Instagram this week. The girl, who was visiting New York from Scotland, took an Instagram video of Franco outside his Broadway show Of Mice and Men. He asked her to tag him in the video, then sent her a selfie and started asking her, "How long will you be in New York?" and "Should I rent a room?" The girl admitted early in the chat that she would be turning 18 in a few days, which didn't seem to dissuade Franco. Soon after she revealed her age, he wrote, "Do you have a bf?" In fairness to Franco, the age of consent in New York is 17.

Fans of Breaking Bad are about to receive the best gift ever: the opportunity to get inside the head of Walter White. The New York Times reports that Bryan Cranston will write a memoir about his life and work as an actor, set to be published in fall 2015 by Simon & Schuster imprint Scribner. In a press release, the Emmy winning actor said he would, "tell the stories of my life and reveal the secrets and lies that I lived with for six years shooting Breaking Bad." Sounds juicy…

NEW MOVIES

The sequel to 2011's "Captain America" features a stellar cast: Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Robert Redford.
