White-tuxedoed Dallas Buyers Club co-stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto won Oscars for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor last night, while 12 Years a Slave was named Best Picture. Coming up short in that category was Gravity, which nevertheless walked away with seven gold statues, including Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron. Cate Blanchett won Best Actress for her turn in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine, while Slave's Lupita Nyong'o topped American Hustle's Jennifer Lawrence for Best Supporting Actress. Hustle's futility was perhaps the lone surprise in an evening which otherwise went according to script.

A week before his new show Saint George premiers on FX, George Lopez was arrested after being found passed out on a casino floor in Canada. Ultimately, Lopez wasn't charged with any crimes, but photos posted to Twitter show the actor curled up on the ground inside the casino bar at Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. Lopez released a statement saying he'd “tied one on” and was “trying to sleep it off. Unfortunately, it was on the casino floor.” He then joked about his arrest onstage, claiming he did 52 shots before passing out, and that he "just did in Windsor what Justin Bieber does in America."
