Stars React to Harold Ramis' Death

Bill Murray said: "Harold Ramis and I together did the National Lampoon Show together off Broadway, Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day. He earned his keep on this planet. God bless him."

Dan Akroyd's statement to The Hollywood Reporter reads: "(I am) deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my brilliant, gifted, funny friend, co-writer/performer and teacher Harold Ramis. May he now get the answers he was always seeking."

Judd Apatow told the Chicago Trib, "When I was 15, I interviewed Harold for my high school radio station, and he was the person that I wanted to be when I was growing up. His work is the reason why so many of us got into comedy. We grew up on Second City TV and Ghostbusters, Vacation, Animal House, Stripes, Meatballs. He literally made every single one of our favorite movies."

Seth MacFarlane: Harold Ramis was a brilliant, shining example for every comedy writer hoping to achieve excellence the field. He will be sorely missed

Tom Arnold: So sad about Harold Ramis. His work changed my life and inspired me and made me want to do what I do. Very nice man and a good neighbor too

Zach Braff: If you're my age and got into comedy, Harold Ramis was one of the reasons. Life is fast and over too soon.

Albert Brooks: So sad to hear about Harold Ramis. Comedy lost a big one

Jimmy Kimmel: "I collect spores, molds, and fungus" - condolences to the family and friends of the great Harold Ramis

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced yesterday that they'll be ending their eight-year marriage. The couple released a joint statement reading, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time." Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, were high school sweethearts and are parents to four-year-old Julian Fuego. Breakup rumors have plagued for them past year after Thicke was caught cozying up to a few unidentified women on more than one occasion.

Seth Meyers made his debut as the host of Late Night last night, opening the show riffing with his new band leader, fellow SNL alum Fred Armisen. Meyers' cold open was a Weekend Update-like monologue, featuring cute jokes like, "The brassiere turns 101 this week, and so does everyone who still calls it a 'brassiere.'" Meyers' first guest was Amy Poehler, who referred to the next guest, Vice President Joe Biden, as a "gorgeous charm monster." Biden hinted at his political future when Meyers asked him about his 2016 plans, joking, "I planned on making a major announcement tonight, but I decided tonight's your night, so I'm hoping you'll invite me back." New York pop duo A Great Big World closed the show with their #1 hit "Say Something."
