Why take your kids on a field trip when they could learn so much from a Miley Cyrus concert? "Even though parents probably won't think this, I think my show is educational for kids," the 21-year-old singer told Fuse News with a straight-face. "They're going to be exposed to art most people don't know about." She adds, "People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns. I'm excited to take this tour to places where [art] like this wouldn't be accepted, where kids wouldn't learn about this different kind of art." Miley's 38-city 'Bangerz' tour kicks off in Vancouver on February 14.
John Lennon once claimed that the Beatles were bigger than Jesus, and now Harry Styles is claiming that One Direction is bigger than the Beatles -- but only in terms of fame. Styles tells Top of the Pops, "None of us think we're in the same league as them music-wise. We'd be total fools if we did. Fame-wise, it's probably even bigger, but we don't stand anywhere near them in terms of music." He did make the inevitable comparison between the Beatles' arrival in America 50 years ago and One Direction's own introduction to the U.S.: "Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness. It was exactly the same as when we got there - just 50 years earlier."
Clint Eastwood proved himself to be a real-life hero when he saved a man's life at a recent golf event. The 83-year-old actor spotted Steve John, director of the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am golf tournament, choking and quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver on him. "Clint saved my life," John tells the Carmel Pine Cone. "A piece of cheese went in my mouth, and suddenly I couldn't breathe. It was as bad as it could have been." Eastwood says, "I looked into his eyes and saw that look of panic people have when they see their life passing before their eyes. It looked bad... I gave him three good jolts, and that got it out. And then I made him drink a big glass of water with a bunch of lemon squeezed in it."

Shia LaBeouf continued to make a farce of his career this weekend, wearing a brown paper bag over his head at the Berlin premiere of his new movie Nymphomaniac. The bag had eyeholes and "I Am Not Famous Anymore" written on it in black marker. LaBeouf has been tweeting the same phrase in capitol letters on a daily basis since January 13. At a press junket earlier in the day, LaBeouf was asked why he joined a film with so many sex scenes, and he replied, "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea." The quote comes from Manchester United football player Eric Cantona, who spoke the words during a press conference following his assault conviction in 1995. LaBeouf left the stage after just one question.

The Outsiders is country outlaw Eric Church's highly anticipated fourth album and the follow-up to his 2011 #1 album Chief. Church's new record includes his current hit single "Give Me Back My Hometown," as well as homages to his rebel status, like the Nirvana-referencing "That's D**n Rock & Roll." This week sees another hot new country release, Frankie Ballard's Sunshine & Whiskey, which has already spawned the Top 20 hit "Helluva Life." South Carolina alt-country outfit Band of Horses releases their first live album, Acoustic at the Ryman, a 10-song collection culled from the band's April 2013 shows at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium.
