Worst birthday gift ever? Miley Cyrus' Studio City home was broken into on Friday, one day before her 21st birthday. No one was home at the time, but the thieves made off with some of Cyrus' personal items, including jewelry. A source tells Us Weekly that the pop star is, understandably "really shaken up" about the incident. Police are currently investigating the burglary.
Taylor Swift was the golden girl of last night's American Music Awards, taking home the night's top honor of Artist of the Year, as well as the awards for Favorite Female Artist in the Pop/Rock and Country categories and Favorite Country Album. Justin Timberlake wasn't far behind her, winning Favorite Male Artist in the Pop/Rock and R&B/Soul categories and Favorite R&B/Soul Album. One Direction managed to best Timberlake for Favorite Pop/Rock Album; the boy band also nabbed Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group. Disney darling Ariana Grande was voted New Artist of the Year, while Rihanna was presented with the Icon Award by Bill Maher, Jay Z and her mother.

At a One Direction promotional event this weekend, Piers Morgan had the audacity to point-blank ask Harry Styles if he was dating 18-year-old Kendall Jenner, whom the pop star was spotted out on a dinner date with last week. Styles, clearly uncomfortable, replied, "I mean, we went out for dinner, but no, I guess." Morgan refused to let up and asked if it was a budding romance.
