The Emmys delivered a double surprise last night when favorites Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad were beaten by The Newsroom's Jeff Daniels and Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale, respectively, for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. Breaking Bad did, however, take home the prize for Outstanding Drama Series, and the show's Anna Gunn won the Lead Actress trophy. Meanwhile, Michael Douglas made a splash while accepting the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie for his portrayal of Liberace in HBO's Behind the Candelabra -- he thanked his co-star/onscreen lover Matt Damon by quipping, "You deserve half of this. Do you want the bottom or the top?"

Back in January, Britney Spears split with her fiance Jason Trawick, who she'd been dating for three years. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Friday, Spears says that the split inspired the songs on her new album, due out in December: "After having a huge breakup this year, I had a lot to say in the studio, so it was really nice to have a therapy like that and to be able to share that with my fans." She goes on to say that music "really kind of helps you get over the breakup really easy, 'cause you sing about it and have to think about it every night but then you're like, 'It's okay! I'm performing now so it's totally fine.'"
Miley Cyrus performed the song. Wrecking Ball, at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and while she got through her night performance just fine, her daytime show left her broken down. While struggling through the clearly emotional song, Miley ended up in tears that streamed down her face. And she let them flow! By the end of the song, Miley was rocking some mascara streaks! No doubt this song is hitting her hard what with Liam Hemsworth already moving on in a very public manner with Eiza Gonzalez.
