Justin Bieber was attacked in a Toronto nightclub early Friday morning. Bieber left the VIP section to chat up some pretty girls on the dance floor when another clubgoer charged at him. His effort to tackle Bieber failed and security quickly pulled the guy off. The attacker was tossed out the club. Police were never called, although Bieber did have a gold chain stolen during the fiasco. It's unknown at this point what sparked the attack. Just last month, Bieber was involved in a fight outside a New York club.

Although FOX hasn't made an official announcement, Connick himself retweeted one-time Idol judge Ellen DeGeneres, who joked via the social media site that Connick "might be a judge on American Idol! He loves to follow in my footsteps. It's like having a boring little brother.
