Home improvement giant Home Depot and retailer Target have decided to end their deals with Paula Deen. Late in the day, home shopping channel QVC said it has "decided to take a pause" from selling Deen's products. The news comes just one day after Walmart and Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced they would sever ties with Deen amid charges of racist remarks and practices. On the flip side, the upcoming cookbook Paula Deen's New Testament: 250 Favorite Recipes, All Lightened Up has hit #1 on Amazon.com's best sellers list, even though the book doesn't officially hit shelves until October 15.
Rumors about who will be cast in the movie version of the erotic Fifty Shades of Grey are swirling, but right now the only things known for sure are the planned release date (Aug. 1, 2014) and the director (Sam Taylor-Johnson). A Universal studio insider denied the possibility of using premium video-on-demand for the movie version of the best-selling book by E.L. James. Triple X rating anyone?
