Iconic newsman Tom Brokaw revealed yesterday that he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects blood cells in the bone marrow, back in August. The 74-year-old released a statement reading, "With the exceptional support of my family, medical team and friends, I am very optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing my life, my work and adventures still to come. I remain the luckiest guy I know." Brokaw was the anchor of NBC Nightly News for 22 years and continues to work for the network as a special correspondent. He's continued to work throughout his treatment, including contributions to NBC's coverage of the Sochi Winter Olympics.
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has been voted the most wanted woman in the world, according to AskMen.com's Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2014, while overexposed Miley Cyrus ranks dead last on the list of 99 females. In fact, the website noted that while voters had actually ranked Cyrus "higher on the list," staffers "took the editorial decision to symbolically put her at #99." Community's Alison Brie came in at #2, followed by Emily Ratakjowski (one of the models in Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video) at #3. Jennifer Lawrence, who topped the list in 2013, fell to #4 this year.

According to Simon Cowell, One Direction could be starring in their own reality show. Cowell spoke to reporters at the Britain's Got Talent auditions yesterday and revealed, "I think there's something in the works, a possible TV show. We're going to be talking about that in the next couple of weeks." He also announced that the quintet will be releasing a new album, the follow-up to last year's Midnight Memories, sometime this year. One thing Cowell doesn't have planned for One Direction is having one of them be the godfather to his unborn son. "If you ask one, you've got to ask five, so I don't think I can do that," he says.

Fall Out Boy is releasing their own version of the viral game "Flappy Bird" after the original game was removed from the app store by its creators. The band tweeted the news on Monday, saying that their version would be released "as soon as it's approved," adding, "Shoutout to OG Flappy Bird, RIP." This isn't Fall Out Boy's first foray into the world of video games. In 2009, they created their own version of "Oregon Trail," called "Fall Out Boy Trail."
