The case has now been transferred to a mental health court, and a hearing will be held to determine Bynes' mental competency.
A group of Ke$ha fans have started a petition to "free" the pop star from producer and songwriter Dr. Luke, accusing him of "controlling Ke$ha like a puppet." The petition alleges that Ke$ha signed an eight-album contract with Dr. Luke when she was 18 and that the producer, who has written many of the star's biggest hits, including "TiK ToK" and "Die Young," is stunting her artistic growth "by making her sing the same generic, predictable, recycled, pop song."
