Does the punishment fit the crime?
  • Mom Punishes Daughter by Selling Her One Direction Tickets on eBay

  • An Australian mom is punishing her daughter by auctioning off her four tickets to an upcoming One Direction concert. After the teen lied to her about hanging out at an older boy's house, eBay user "tsfe" decided to teach her a lesson by auctioning off the One Direction concert tickets she had previously purchased as a birthday gift. The post reads: THIS AUCTION IS FOR ALL 4 ONE DIRECTION TICKETS IN SYDNEY OCTOBER 25th. You can thank my daughter's self righteous and lippy attitude for their sale. See sweety? And you thought I was bluffing."

5-Year-Old Writing "Letter to The Whole World"

  • A boy in England is trying to change the world, one handwritten letter at a time. Five-year-old Toby Little is on a mission to contact at least one person from each of the UN's 193 nations. He began his project earlier this year after reading a book called A Letter to New Zealand. Little asked his mother if he could "write a letter to the whole world." So far he's written to 187 countries and received 66 replies. He tracks his progress online at WritingToTheWorld.com. He also fundraises for disaster relief through the site.

15 Percent of U.S. Bridges Are at Risk of Collapse
Doesn't this make you feel so safe on your daily travels?

An Associated Press analysis of 607,380 bridges in the most recent federal National Bridge Inventory showed that 65,605 were classified as "structurally deficient" and 20,808 as "fracture critical." Of those, 7,795 were both — a combination of red flags that experts say indicate significant disrepair and similar risk of collapse. The famed Brooklyn Bridge ranks among the most decrepit. Cities and states would like to replace the aging and vulnerable bridges, but few have the money.

Dad Wears Short-Shorts to Shame His Teenage Daughter
  • A Utah dad refashioned a pair of his own jeans into Daisy Duke-style "short shorts" to demonstrate his dissatisfaction with his daughter's skimpy wardrobe. Writing recently on his wife's blog, Scott Mackintosh said, "I heard my wife ask our daughter if she would please change into some longer shorts before leaving [for dinner]. She said NO!" Mackintosh decided to teach his daughter a lesson "on how her 'short-shorts' maybe aren't as cute as she thinks" by wearing his own pair of cutoffs, paired with a "Best Dad Ever" T-shirt, out to dinner with the family. The mortified teen refused to get out of the car and has since taken her parents' feelings into consideration when dressing.

What's the Most Inappropriate Thing You Can Wear to Work?
These results should be interesting.....What do you think?

  • The Huffington Post has put together a tournament to determine the most inappropriate clothing to wear to work. In the first round, the exposed midriff faces off against spaghetti straps, short skirts battle shorts, sheer clothes take on workout gear and low-cut tops compete with flip-flops. Round one begins today, with voting continuing until the winner is revealed on Friday.
