Reese Witherspoon pled no contest to a charge of physical obstruction in Atlanta Thursday, hours after admitting on Good Morning America that her behavior during the now infamous "Do you know my name?" arrest was crazy and unacceptable. She was fined $213. Meanwhile, the very entertaining dash-cam video of her arrest has been released. In the footage, Reese gets in the cop's face, mocks the notion that she had to obey his orders and insists, "I'm an American citizen. I can stand on American ground." Her husband Jim Roth can also be heard apologizing for her behavior.
Lindsay Lohan had quite the day yesterday. She was supposed to be in court-ordered rehab in New York. Instead, she flew to L.A. to enter the Morningside Recovery facility in Newport Beach, which blindsided prosecutors. Then, even as her lawyer was telling the judge that Lindsay was locked down at Morningside, she was actually at a nearby Fry's Electronics store. Apparently, Lindsay had pulled up to the facility, but never got out, saying she didn't want to go to rehab. Prosecutors have had it. At around 6 p.m. last night, they gave her 12 hours to check into Morningside or they're getting an arrest warrant.
During a testy moment on American Idol on Wednesday, Mariah Carey took what seemed like a dig at Nicki Minaj for not having any No. 1 singles. Perez Hilton blogged about the incident in a post titled "Mariah Carey BURNS Nicki Minaj on Idol." A pissed off Nicki retorted via Twitter, "Burned? She's sad I tied her record for Hot 100 entries in only three years being in the game." She followed that tweet with one telling Hilton that what he should be doing is asking why a "woman SO successful at her age is still so insecure and bitter."
