It's been a tough week for Katy Perry in the romance department. First, word broke that she and John Mayer had broken up. Now, it turns out that ex-husband Russell Brand called being married to her a "drag." Brand opened up about the relationship at the XFM Teenage Cancer Trust. He said the marriage was "shaky from the get-go," even before he got off "the elephant." (Brand arrived at the lavish wedding atop an elephant.) The comedian called the marriage a sacred 14-month relationship that started on an elephant and ended in a newspaper. Both Brand and Perry are working on memoirs that will cover their turbulent time together.
Selena Gomez is under attack after joking on the Late Show with David Letterman that she made ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber cry. The Beibs' fans immediately took to Twitter to attack the Spring Breakers actress. One suggested that Justin was raised right and would "never embarrass you on national television." Another said they lost all respect for Selena, before adding, "Wait. I can't lose what I never had for you." Some even brought up the fact Selena started her career "hopping around" with Barney the Dinosaur. Naturally, Selena's fans got into the action, defending her for being a mature woman while Justin's just a baby.
Howard Stern wants to replace Jay Leno. He says, "I've already contacted Matt Lauer about how I'm taking over The Tonight Show. This is going to be the greatest Tonight Show ever. The guys are going to love it. Maybe not the women demos…but I'm going to deliver a hundred share of the men [in the ratings]. That's why Greenblatt said, 'You've got to take over the show.'"
