Paul Shaffer may leave David Letterman when his contract expires in 2014. He tells TV Guide Canada, “We’ve been on 30 years so now we’ve got another two years. I’m going to be certainly ready to lie down after that, take a nap. But life is nutty. Anything can happen. I’ve been so lucky and blessed to be working this long in show business. And whatever happens now is just gravy to me. I love to be the center of attention. My oversized ego craves it and needs it. It’s more of a sick need to be loved and have everyone paying attention to you.”
I am excited about this! Comedy pals Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are going to host the 70th Annual Golden Globes! The President of Alternative and Late Night Programming for NBC seems pretty proud of himself for coming up with this idea. He released a statement saying: “Tina and Amy have a proven chemistry and comedic timing from their many years together.” The two worked together in Chicago on stage, on SNL, and films like Baby Momma, and Mean Girls. The Golden Globes will be in January.
The Rolling Stones are going on tour again! They are marking their 50th anniversary this year and want you to be a part of it. The original lineup is getting together to perform landmark sets this November and December- 2 in London and 2 in Newark, NJ. Guitarist Keith Richards said, "I've always said the best place for rock and roll is on the stage and the same is true for the Stones. I'm here with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and everything is rocking. See you very soon!"
