This year is sure to be a party, celebrating the “Eye of the Survivor” as we pay homage to the 30th anniversary of Relay for Life and its totally rad 80’s roots! Cinderella's Closet


Cinderella's Closet provides formal wear to girls who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom.  New or gently used prom dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, formal heels, purses and jewelry can be dropped off at any of the following locations:
Henry County High School Youth Services Center (Karen Wilson)
Owen County High School Youth Services Center (Becky Mefford)
First United Methodist Church in Frankfort
Fit Time for Women in Frankfort
Women, age 20 and older may also volunteer during the give-away weekend on March 1 & 2 at the First United Methodist Church in Frankfort.

2nd Annual Spring Prom Fashion Show


All fashions modeled by Franklin County Choir Students February 16th @ 6pm @ Kentucky History Center. Fashion by Geno's of Lexington, Carol's of Danville, Sam Meyer's Tuxedos and Brendan Reid of Frankfort. Vendors will be available. Fabulous door prizes will be given!

Fresh Sweet Strawberries


The Franklin County High School football team is selling orders of strawberries! They're taking orders now through February 19th (money due @ time of order). The strawberries will be delivered in Mid-March. To place an order email fchsqbclub@gmail.com or call JJ @ 502-545-0500.

Spring Spay/ Neuter Days


Love is in the air so now is the time to get your pets spayed and neutered. Every Monday through the month of February you can register your pet and pre-pay @ The Franklin County Humane Society. Remember, space is limited.
Fees are as follows: All rabies vaccine $5, Male cat $15, female cat $20, male dog $30, and female dogs are $40.

Chapter Get-Together


The Capital City Riders for Christ will have their “Chapter Get-together” January 26th from 6-8pm. Meet at US 460 Georgetown Road.  All motorcyclists are cordially invited to attend and to wear your colors if you wish.
 

Church Invasion


The Capital City Riders for Christ Motorcycle Chapter will be conducting their Church Invasion. The motorcyclists will meet at the Marathon on US 127 South January 24th @ 10:15am and head out @ 10:40am. The name of the church will be revealed upon meeting at the Marathon Travel Plaza.
 
 

Blood Drive


Blood Drive January 21st @ Commonwealth Credit Union (1425 Louisville Road) from 10am-2pm. All donors will be entered to win a $25 Walmart Gift Card!  To be a blood donor you must have a photo ID, be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and meet additional requirements. 16 year old donors must have a signed parental permission slip which can be found at kybloodcenter.org  To schedule an appointment call Patty @ 502-564-4775

 
 

Find the Fridge


Find the fridge on the river bank along the 5 mile trail for a suprise! Awards will be given to top male and female as well as age group awards. The race will benefit the group WeWannaPlay of Franklin County; to help student athletes participate in sports, that way they're not held back due to the cost.
