Soup Kitchen's 127 Yard Sale

The Soup Kitchen will be collecting donations to be added to the yardsale throughout the month of July. Auction on the 10th for remaining items. All of the proceeds collected will be given to the Soup Kitchen.

Relay for Life-Frankfort

Relay for Life in Frankfort has been rescheduled. It will be Friday, July 25 7pm-10:30pm. Those registering for the inaugural Color Out Cancer 3k Color Run/Walk should arrive by 7:00 p.m. The Color Out Cancer 3k Run/Walk begins at 7:30 and will begin at the high school and continue on through the Lakeside Park.
Survivor Lap will be at 9:00 p.m. (Inside the FCHS gym)
Caregiver Lap will be shortly thereafter
Luminaria Ceremony will follow these two very important laps.
The evening will close with release of the Relay For Life Sky Lanterns to send a message into the summer sky that we are not stopping until we Finish the Fight against cancer. Both Luminaria and sky lanterns may be purchased the Friday night from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. in the FCHS gym. We will also be having the silent auction we began the night of Relay For Life from 7:00 p.m. until just before the sky lantern release.

 

Water Games: Frog Help

Salato Wildlife Center in Frankfort

Meet  outside between 10am and 1pm for a fun children’s activity that shows what it’s like to live the life of a frog! Participants will get to hop through our obstacle course as they dodge hungry predators and try to find food for themselves. This activity will involve getting slightly wet with a sprinkler so please dress accordingly.  No registration required.  Free with general admission.

GreenStock Festival

Enjoy a festival atmosphere with music, games, food, and exhibits located at the Bridgeport Christian Church grounds and shelter. Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Training

The Franklin County Chapter will offer Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED for Lay Responders certification training on Saturday, July 26, 8:30am – 4pm at the Red Cross building at 318 Washington St. in Frankfort. The cost for the training is $110/person ($90 without Pediatric CPR/AED). Students must be pre-registered and prepaid 5 business days prior to the class date. Swing for Simon House

Simon House, Inc. is holding Simon Says: Swing Fore Simon House on Friday, August 22 at Juniper Hills in Frankfort. This is a golf scramble with a twist. This is a golf scramble for 4-person teams. The benefits from the scramble will help Simon House care for homeless women and children in our community.  Cost is $60.00 per player (before 8-15) and $65 per player after 8-15.  For Juniper Hill members, the cost is $40 for early registration and $45 for late registration. The Thorn Hill Adult Education Center is once again hosting the Spellapalooza spelling bee contest to raise money for the Thorn Hill Education Center. There is no charge for admission. Dinner will be severed at 5pm, cost of the meal is donation. Individual desserts can be purchased throughout the evening at the bake sale. There will also be a live auction. For questions call 875-1481. The highlight of the evening is the spelling bee which features teams of 3 vying for the traveling trophy. Team members can be any age.
