CHRIS BROWN FINALLY SPEAKS OUT ABOUT BEATING RIHANNA

Are you over it or do you still hate him? Comment below.

Chris Brown has opened up to UK newspaper The Mirror and apologized for beating Rihanna in 2009. He said: “Sometimes you row, you fight, with the one you love and things get said, stuff spirals.” He added: “That night was the deepest regret of my life, the biggest mistake.” Even though he hasn’t been forgiven by fans, he says that he has been forgiven by Rihanna. He continued: "But she loves me – what can I say? I’m forgiven… but, yes, I worked hard for it.” As for those who haven’t forgiven him, Chris said: “People attack me and criticize me, it happens all the time. But they don’t know me, and they don’t know us. It doesn’t bother me any more. Other people can judge us, but they don’t know anything."

1 IN 4 FIND LOVE THROUGH THEIR DOG

Turns out a dog isn't just a man's best friend -- he's also his best wingman. A new survey by Pets at Home finds that one in four dog owners find love while taking their pooches for a walk. On top of that, a whopping 40 percent claim they would think twice about dating a potential partner if their dog responded negatively to them. (Maybe Taylor Swift needs to swap her feline in for a canine.) Meanwhile, those who are happily in a relationship can also benefit from having a pet: One in three people say they've made new friends just by walking their furry companion.

MOM TAKES TODDLER TO THE CLUB!

A 41-year-old mother in North Wales who has been branded a bad parent for taking her toddler to a night club says she's sorry for the act. Sarah-Jane Hulme went out to see her 23-year-old daughter's band and didn't think it was a problem to bring her 4-year-old son Django since she had him wearing ear protectors. She said, "They were so effective that Django slept through the whole performance." However someone told the club there was a child present and police stopped the music at half past midnight. Sarah explained, "It seemed over the top but I knew I'd done nothing wrong. Next thing I'm all over Facebook." She added, "I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I used to take my daughters out to similar events when they were the same age but that was almost two decades ago. I guess society has changed. I consider myself to be a great mum and I'd never do anything to endanger my son or any child. But now I wish I'd never gone out." (The Sun)

- If you posted on this woman's Facebook page, what would you say?

- How old is too old to be at the club?

ASTEROID FLY BY TODAY AT 2:46PM

Crazy stuff!!!

An asteroid about half the size of a football field will be screaming by the earth at 2:46 PM Eastern today.  It'll be the closest any known object that size has come to the planet. Asteroid 2012 DA14 will pass about 17,200 miles above the planet, closer, in fact, than the ring of TV and weather satellites that circle our fragile home.  Still, NASA insists there's no chance the asteroid will actually hit the planet.

Meanwhile in Russia!

The Urals region of Russia has been rattled by a series of explosions in the sky, sparking panic in three cities, even UFO fears.  According to reports out of Russia a meteorite shower led to a missile salvo from an air defense system, blowing the meteorite apart.  Pieces still reached the ground including one that hit a zinc factory and knocked out cellphones in the area.  Some 20,000 emergency workers have reported responded to the region.

CREEPY FACTS ABOUT FOODS YOU EAT EVERY DAY

We’re Not Trying To Scare You But…This Is Scary: Creepy Facts About Foods You Eat Every Day (madamnorire.com)

Your produce can carry excrement. The FDA has deemed certain defects as harmless and allows them in the produce you buy in major stores. Just a few examples: Cinnamon can contain up to 1 milligram of animal excrement per pound, Berries can carry up to 4 larvae per 100 grams and canned pineapple can pack in 20% molded fruit.

Eating healthy is expensive…very expensive. Researchers finally crunched the numbers to find out just how much more it costs to eat healthy, versus unhealthy. The results? Shocking. Two thousand calories of junk food will cost you about $3.52 a day. The same number of calories from nutritious food costs you about $36 a day. The worst part is 81% of that price you’re paying isn’t for the actual food, but for marketing, manufacturing and packaging.

You’re not entitled to knowing where your salad comes from. When it comes to fresh produce, grocers must inform you where the food came from. But with mixed produce—like prewashed and packaged bags of “mixed greens”—you’re not entitled to any of that information. This poses a real problem considering the CDC named leafy greens one of the top foods to carry food borne illnesses. But if you hear an announcement of an E. Coli outbreak in spinach from a certain country, you have no way of knowing if that spinach made it into your mixed green bag.

Fruits and veggies aren’t as potent as they used to be. The USDA reports that fruits and vegetables today contain significantly fewer nutrients than they did two generations ago. Researchers examined 43 types of produce and found an average 15% drop in iron and a 20% drop in Vitamin C.

Calorie counts aren’t always honest. Out of 42 sit-down and fast-food chains analyzed, researchers found that nearly 20% of them were under-reporting the calorie content of their food by 100 calories or more. That’s alarming considering that regularly eating 100 more calories than necessary could add up to a 10 lb. weight gain in just one year.
