Over 50,000 people have signed a petition at Change.org demanding that Warner Brothers not cast Ben Affleck as Batman. The choice of Affleck to play the Dark Night in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel set off an enormous negative reaction across Twitter and the Internet over the weekend. The hasthtag "#BetterBatmanThanBenAffeck" is still trending. And everyone and their mother has a suggestion for who would make a better Batman. Forget the cheating rumors. The real issue behind Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's marital problems is drugs. According to TMZ, Lamar is addicted to crack cocaine. Last week, the family staged an intervention to get Lamar back into rehab, but he wanted no part of it. On Wednesday, Khloe threw him out. She's not thinking about divorce. As one source put it, "Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage." On Sunday, TMZ reported that the basketball star has gone "missing" and hasn't been seen in three days. Family and friends are terrified he's off on a drug binge.
Marvin Gaye's family has rejected a six-figure settlement offer from Robin Thicke over their claim that "Blurred Lines" is a ripoff of the late legend's "Got to Give It Up." Thicke made the offer to head off a copyright fight over the songs. On August 15, Thicke and his co-writers filed suit asking a judge to rule that "Blurred Lines" did not infringe on Gaye's copyright. That suit did not sit well with Gaye's family. Thicke has admitted the Gaye track inspired "Blurred Lines," telling GQ in May of his love for the song and having thought, "Damn, we should make something like that, something with that groove."
